Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 10, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how [Legal entity name — pending] (“Turnsday,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use Turnsday — our birthday-reminder and gift-suggestion service (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please don’t use the Service.

1. Information we collect

We only collect what we need to run the Service:

  • Your account details — your name, email, and password (or your Google sign-in if you choose that).
  • The people you add — their name, birthday, and any optional photo or notes you enter.
  • Your saved gift ideas.
  • Your subscription details — handled by our payment provider, Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
  • Basic technical information — such as your IP address and device or browser type — used to keep the Service secure and working.

2. How we use your information

We use your information to:

  • Create and manage your account.
  • Send you birthday reminders and generate gift suggestions.
  • Process your subscription and payments.
  • Keep the Service secure and prevent abuse.
  • Respond to your support requests.
  • Meet our legal obligations.

We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not build advertising profiles about you.

3. Our reasons for using your information

Where the law (such as in the EU and UK) requires it, we rely on one of these reasons to use your information: to provide the Service you asked for, to pursue our legitimate interests in running and improving the Service, to meet legal obligations, or with your consent — for example, for the optional referral cookie described below.

4. How we share your information

We don’t sell your personal information, and we never share it for advertising. We only share it with the trusted providers we need to run Turnsday — for example, our hosting and database provider, our payment provider (Stripe), the service that powers our gift suggestions, our email provider, and the provider behind our creator-referral program. These providers may only use your information to perform their services for us.

We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect the rights and safety of Turnsday or its users, or as part of a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition.

5. Cookies

We keep cookies simple. We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies, grouped by what they do:

  • Signing you in — to keep you securely logged into your account. Essential.
  • Checkout — to continue your purchase if you started before creating an account. Essential.
  • Your preferences — to remember your cookie choice and show the right notice for your region. Essential.
  • Referral — to credit the creator who referred you, as part of our creator-referral program. Optional.

We do not use advertising cookies, analytics or tracking cookies, or any third-party trackers. When you make a payment, our payment provider Stripe sets its own cookies on its secure checkout page, under Stripe’s own policy.

In the EU, EEA and UK we ask for your consent before using the optional referral cookie — you can accept or reject it, and the essential cookies keep working either way. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time from your account settings, or by clearing cookies in your browser.

6. Signing in with Google

If you choose to sign in with Google, Google shares basic profile details with us (such as your name, email, and profile picture) so we can create and secure your account. We only use that information to run the Service.

7. Where your information is handled

Turnsday and our providers may process your information in countries other than your own, including the United States. Where the law requires it, we rely on appropriate safeguards to protect your information when it is transferred.

8. How long we keep your information

We keep your information for as long as your account is active, or as long as we need it for the purposes described here. When you delete your account, we remove your personal data from our active systems. We may keep limited payment or transaction records where the law requires (for example, for accounting), and copies may remain in secure backups for a limited time before they are overwritten.

9. How we keep your information safe

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of sending or storing information online is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information and keep it safe.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the information we hold about you.
  • Correct information that is wrong.
  • Delete your account and personal data.
  • Get a copy of your data (you can export it as a CSV from your settings).
  • Withdraw your consent where we rely on it.
  • Object to or limit certain uses of your information.
  • Complain to your local data protection authority.

You can manage or delete your account anytime from your settings, or contact us at contact@turnsday.com to exercise any of these rights. Residents of some US states have similar rights, and we honor them where they apply.

11. Do Not Track

Because we don’t track you across other websites, we don’t respond to browser “Do Not Track” signals. There is no cross-site tracking to turn off.

12. Children's privacy

Turnsday is for people aged 18 or older. It is not intended for anyone under 18, and we don’t knowingly collect information from them. If you believe someone under 18 has given us their information, please contact us and we’ll take appropriate action.

13. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the “Last updated” date above, and let you know of important changes where the law requires.
